I love flowers.. most any kind of flower.

I love wildflowers…

I love formal gardens…

I love giving flowers and I love receiving flowers.

Now don’t get me wrong.. I definitely DON’T like to grow flowers, take care of flowers, water flowers, weed flowers or cultivate them in any way. Any of those things are usually associated with being outside in the heat of summer.

I do NOT like to be hot.. I do NOT like to sweat..
I much prefer spending time with my central A/C then on any outside activity in the summer.

But I do love flowers, and it’s for people like me that God created gardeners or in my case, husbands.

My husband takes care of the flowers in the yard and even brings me flowers from the florist and I enjoy them all very much

Now why should you care if I like flowers or not.. Well, it probably doesn’t make any difference at all except that it sets up a story I want to tell you.

A story of My Secret Grandma Garden.

Three years ago I got the idea to knock a hole in my bedroom wall and add a door that would lead out to
a small enclosed private deck, play area and flower
garden.

Being that it was summer, and my plan definitely involved physical activity, I told my husband all about my plan.

Now my husband hears about a LOT of plans from me.. and he always listens.. agrees.. usually but not always also thinks it’s a good idea and then he does nothing.

I’m not saying anything bad about him at all.. don’t think that..
You see my husband knows something about me after living with me for 35 years.. He knows I change my mind and that once I think about something for awhile, that once great idea gets revised or abandoned completely.

So he wisely listens.. thinks about the ways things could be done and then he waits.

BUT this time he loved my idea instantly.. knew I had a winner, as did I, and we proceeded immediately

And it turned out even better then I had hoped.. A nice deck big enough for 2 comfortable chairs.. a small grassy play area with sandbox for my granddaughter and a nice sized flower bed. Perfect.

Kira and I love to have tea parties on the deck in the spring and summer and at night it’s a great place to cool off and unwind before bed.

I have to say it’s one of my best ideas to date

I knew I wanted flowers in the flower bed that would come back year after year.. old favorites mostly. One day a catalog came in the mail from a bulb company and then I knew for sure that I wanted to plant bulbs.

Crocus bulbs, tulip bulbs, iris bulbs, lily bulbs.. they were all beautiful and I chose some of each that would ensure a colorful garden from early spring through fall and sent off my order.

The company ships orders approximately the time they are to be planted for whatever area they are going to.. my box came in October. So one overcast chilly day in October my husband and I went out to plant bulbs.

( notice it was no longer summer and was in fact quite chilly which I love, so I decided to help with the planting)

David had previously tilled up the garden area, prepared it for planting and made sure that the conditions were optimal for planting.. so we planted little crocus in the front.. medium lillies in the middle.. and taller iris in the back.

We followed the rules.. planted.. watered.. covered and protected them for the winter all in the properly prepared soil…

And then I waited..

I am not a good waiter.. I prefer instant gratification any day of the week. But I knew that everything was as it should be and that given the proper amount of time I would have flowers.

How did I know that? Well my grandmother had a garden and it never failed to bloom every spring.. I have friends that have gardens that never fail to bloom every spring plus it’s been a proven fact for millions of years that planted properly in the fall bulbs will produce flowers in the spring.

So I waited..

I’ve grown annuals before as well that once you plant the seed and water it you will see it begin to grow in just a few days.. Depending on how well it’s taken care of, it will grow into a magnificent plant filled with beautiful blooms that will continue to produce until the first hard freeze.. then sadly it’s gone.. never to return again.

What if I had thought that my bulbs grew in the same way? What if hadn’t known any better and figured if I planted something in October by golly I should have flowers by November?

November would have come and I’d have been so upset at that bulb company selling me their junk that didn’t even appear to make an attempt at growing, let alone bloom.

Perhaps I would have gone out with my shovel, dug them all up and planted new bulbs from a different company.. One that I was sure would give me flowers.

Come December I’d be repeating the whole process and we all know that I’d NEVER have my garden of beautiful flowers.

Thankfully I did none of that, because I knew the facts, I’d seen the facts work for other people and I believed they’d work for me.

Fall turned to winter and soon spring was just around the corner. One chilly but sunny morning I stepped out onto my deck and right there in my garden bed, peeking out from the snow, was a yellow crocus! Not just one either… several crocuses had bloomed ‘overnight’ despite the chill and the snow on the ground.

Needless to say I was very excited and couldn’t wait to show Kira our flowers!

Over the course of the next few weeks, many plants began to grow.. some bloomed, some wouldn’t bloom till later in the summer, but they grew and made a beautiful showing in my Secret Grandma Garden.

When fall came I was sad to see the last of the flowers but I knew that they had been cared for properly not only last winter but all summer long and that with a little winter preparation now they would be back next spring.

I’m sure by now many of you have caught on as to where I’m taking you with this story..

My Internet business.. . Any successful Internet business is like the flower bed in my Secret Grandma Garden. If your Internet business isn’t producing what you had envisioned, perhaps it’s because you’re not “planting the right kind of garden”.

In a successful Internet business you make the proper preparations.. you implement the correct strategies.. you work the right system and then…

you wait.

And given a certain amount of time your efforts will pay off.

How can I be sure? Because I have friends that have followed those principles and succeeded, I have met others through reading about their business journey that have followed these principles and succeeded and I have now proven through my own efforts that these principles work.

These principles aren’t new.. they have been proven over and over again throughout the generations and therefore you can believe in them as well.. you can KNOW that they will work, just as I knew I would have flowers in the spring.

Success in business and wealth does not come quickly.. you can not expect quick results but so many of us do. When we don’t get the results we want when we want them, we get out our shovels and get rid of all the work we’ve done to that point and start over with the latest and greatest ‘guaranteed’ producer.

And when again we don’t see results as quickly as we’d like, and we won’t, we dig it all up again with the hopes that the newest opportunity will make our dreams come true.

Business success and wealth do not come quickly. Period. And if anyone tells you differently then I’d be very suspicious of what they’re selling.. cuz they are definitely trying to sell you something.

Riches can come quickly say if you win the lottery or Great Uncle Harry dies and leaves you his fortune, but wealth and business success take work, patience and time.

You must find a proven plan, commit yourself to working that plan and then be patient and wait for your reward.

Now.. I’ve saved the best part of my story till the end!

Remember how beautiful my flower bed was last summer? And when it began to get cold we properly tended to the withered plants and prepared the bed for winter..

This spring on a chilly yet sunny morning I stepped out onto my deck and right there in my flower bed peeking out from the snow was a yellow crocus.
And not just one crocus.. and not several crocuses but MANY crocuses.

And over the next few weeks my flower bed was filled completely with tulip and iris and lily plants.. way more then what were there last year!

In fact I had to take some of the plants from my flower bed this year and replant them in another place in the yard.

You see what happened… right?

My original plan when executed correctly, maintained properly and given time not only grew but multiplied! And once multiplication sets in, well there’s no stopping it! Within a year or two I’ll be giving flowers away just to keep them from overtaking my yard!

I know how it feels to want success and to want it NOW and I know there are hundreds of people out there that will tell you that it is possible and that you can have it all…. if you just take advantage of their opportunity.

I also know that the only things that work are the principles that have been proven over and over again.. You know that as well if you are really honest with yourself. You know there are no get rich quick schemes that work or we wouldn’t need a new one every day.

Please stop running after every opportunity that promises quick riches and begin on a journey to real wealth through a successful business..

It’s not hard .. it costs almost nothing and it’s proven to work.

The only opportunity that HitSafari promotes and stands behind is Traffic Exchange Profits. Are there other businesses that are not get rich quick schemes and that will teach you to build a long term business that will provide you with real wealth and not just fast $$?

Sure there are but this one provides everything you need and is put together in a well organized and easy to understand format. The written information available is some of the very best I’ve ever read concerning Internet Marketing PLUS it fits in with Traffic Exchanges like nothing else does.

Ok.. enough ‘selling’ Just taking a serious look at it yourself will ‘sell’ you. Remember.. quick blooms are beautiful and rewarding in a short term way but sustainable beauty and growth comes with proper planting, maintenance and the P word… patience.

Michael Phelps is a name the majority of us are now familiar with, especially in the US but worldwide he is now known for his amazing performance at this Summer Olympics. It was very exciting watching him win each of his Gold medals and make Olympic history.

I did some reading on the life of Michael Phelps and discovered some facts about his swimming career that can be related to not only life but our Internet careers as well.

Michael’s parents recognized his talent and passion at a young age and brought him to a professional coach at the age of 11. His coach told him at age 12 that he had Olympic potential. He is still with that coach today. Despite setting numerous world records over the years, he qualified for only one event in the 2004 Summer Olympics and came in 5th.

Just these few facts can teach us so much.

When concentrating on making Internet Marketing your career you should have 2 qualifications. Talent and passion. Obviously we all have different and varied talents and there are just as many options available for a career in Internet marketing.. Identify your talents. If you don’t think you have any, ask a family member or a close friend.. sometimes they recognize things in you that you don’t see yourself.

Once you identify your talents, you’ll very likely realize that you knew  it all along.. What you think is just an activity that you like to do in your spare time is probably a way you’re expressing your talent.. your passion. You might like to scrapbook and while you might not think of that as a marketable talent it encompasses many talents.. creativity, organization, an eye for design etc.

Think about what you like to do and then think about what talents it takes to accomplish it.. you might be surprised at the list you come up with and what you truly are passionate about.

Now that we have discovered our talent and passion, we need a mentor. Someone to coach us in our career, someone we can look up to and trust and know that they have our best interest in mind.

Unfortunately  anyone can hang out a coach shingle in Internet Marketing and we all get emails from dozens of wannabees every day.. and it’s not always easy to find one that is right for you. But research and contact, doing your homework, will really pay off here. It may take some time, but in the long run it will save you much more.. remember, your mentor will be with you for a long time.

Your huge success, your long term goals, will not happen overnight. Michael Phelps coach saw Olympic potential in him at age 12 and he is now 23. That was 11 years of keeping his eye on the main prize.. the long term goal. Yes he had successes along the way, as we all will, but perseverance and focus brought him his ultimate success.

He also had failures, or what he perceived as failures, along the way.. but he didn’t quit or he didn’t fire his coach and start fresh with someone else.. he remained focused on his training and his goals.

Obviously these have just been a few, brief highlights of some important lessons learned from a swimmer… hopefully you can extract something that will start you thinking and help you along your Internet Marketing path.
