So let’s answer a few question about Power Surf Central.

Plain and simple Power Surf Central was designed to reward our loyal surfers in as many ways as we could.

We reward members daily, weekly and monthly with bonuses of credits… banner impressions.. text link impressions. We also, ocassionally, throw in some cash IN ADDITION to all the other bonuses. These bonuses are huge on a daily and weekly basis and GIGANTIC on a monthly basis.. into the MILLIONS!

Ok.. let’s be honest.. while rewarding our loyal surfers was the NUMBER ONE reason for creating PSC, a close second was to draw attention to the three traffic exchanges involved in order to increase their activity which in turn brings in new members. We have no problem admitting that we want more members.. we want more PRO members.. we want more credits sailes.. for the three of us, Ray, Doug and myself, we make our livings and support ourselves with our traffic exchanges.

In order for any business to be successful the old adage still holds true.. the customer is always right! That’s YOU.. our members.. our customers if you will, and we are here to serve you and to make our service, which is your advertising, effective and worthwhile.

When we started Power Surf Central we made sure that a couple things would be mandatory.. First we would only offer quality, result getting traffic and second we would listen to the members feedback to make PSC as user friendly as possible.

We knew that offering the best in result driven traffic would prove to be the basis for long term service and rewards. When we started PSC of the 3 traffic exchanges involved one was a constant resident on the top traffic exchange lists such as Traffic Hoopla, the industry standard. Two of us were there many times.. and on some occasions all three were listed.

Point one accomplished.. offering quality, result getting traffic. What has happened since PSC was launched? Most weeks, if not all, all THREE exchanges are listed as top ranked and this last week all THREE were in the TOP10.

You see quality traffic attracts more quality traffic and it’s near impossible, when managed correctly, to stop that snowball effect. And what has this done for our members? In addition to the INSANE rewards you already accumulate we now are attracting hundreds more members every week because of our high visibility which in turn means more eyes on your websites which in turn mean more Power Surf Central members… which in turn increases the quality, result getting traffic, which in turn boosts our rankings as top traffic exchanges.. which in turn…………

Don’t you just LOVE vicious cycles!!

Our second requirement was to listen to the feedback from our members who after all ARE PowerSurfCentral. We discoverd through feedback and polls that most members did not like adding a guest exchange every week even though originally that was one of our main goals. But the members spoke and told us no.. that they didn’t like to be forced to join an exchange if they were not already a member or to have to surf them if they didn’t want to just to receive the promised credits through PSC. .

Will we never have guests exchanges again? No, there were actually some members that DID like it.. so when we do invite a guest exchange now it is for ONE DAY. By doing it this way those that choose to participate will benefit from the many extra rewards and prizes.. but if you choose not to participate your daily, weekly and monthly PSC stats will NOT be affected. It’s proven to be a win/win for everyone and very well received.

Members also did not like to have to surf all exchanges at the same time.. with PSC you don’t. As long as you surf each exchange the minimum sometime during the 24hour day, you will get credit.

Members like things simple.. don’t we all? While sometimes that is easier said then done, we strive to make things simple and are constantly working towards that end. We may have a ways to go and it’s always a challenge when introducing a new feature to do it in the simplest way.. But know this.. it is a top objective of ours and if you ever have any suggestions towards that end, don’t be afraid to let us know.

We are soon unveiling our newest feature.. nothing fancy, but something that members asked for. Something that will makes things easier for you.. No, I’m not going to tell you now! What fun would that be.. You’ll just have to wait for the announcement.

I’m not sure if you caught it or not … but here at Power Surf Central we value our members and what they have to offer. We WANT to know what you think… good OR bad.. but I know that sometimes takes a little encouragement. There is an easy explanation for this.

Most, if not all, Traffic Exchanges set a minimum percentage of your total credits that MUST be auto-assigned. This is done to ensure that there are credits assigned to sites at all times. Sites without credits don’t get rotated.. a Traffic Exchange without rotating sites doesn’t work so well

So in order to keep at least a minimum of sites in constant rotation, we set a minimum percentage of credits that need to be auto assigned.

As you earn credits while surfing, a certain amount of them go into your Credit Total and a certain amount are auto assigned to your approved sites. ( the amount is based on the percentage that the traffic exchange has pre-set and varies in exchanges and also in upgrade status. The amount can be seen on your Assign Credits page)

If the Traffic Exchange delivers traffic at a fairly brisk rate, your credits that are auto assigned are going to be used fairly quickly. It’s possible that they may be used as quickly as you earn them. If that is the case, it will appear that you haven’t earned any, or as many credits as you think you should have, for the amount of time you surfed.

Rest assured that you have.. they simply were used immediately to show your sites to other members that were surfing while you were.

** The more traffic an exchange delivers, the quicker your credits will be used and this applies to credits that are auto assigned as well.

Now.. while an exchange normally sets a percentage that MUST be auto assigned, it is rarely, if ever, 100%. So if you don’t want all your credits that you earn while surfing to be used, make sure that you do not have auto assign set to 100%. This percentage can be adjusted on your Assign Credits page. While many prefer to have their credits used immediately, there may be times that you want to stockpile a few for a special promotion.

One final note.. only credits that are earned while surfing are auto assigned. Credits purchased or won go into your Credit Total and must be assigned and it is important to make sure that they DO get assigned. Make it a habit whenever you log in to your account to check your credits and assign them if you have them.. sites in rotation are not only essential for the Traffic Exchange, it is essential for you as well.. when your sites aren’t in rotation… no one is seeing them!

Actually it is a well known fact among TE owners that splash and squeeze pages are the way to go and so it follows that other marketers would know that as well.

Makes sense.. right?

My frind James Grandstaff did a little survey that has pretty much blown that idea out of the water.

It seems that when he surveyed 500 on his list who are interested in making money online, such as affiliate marketing, product creation, MLM, etc… that over 30% did not even know what a squeeze page was!

I was surprised to say the least.

Instant MLM Squeeze Pages

Take a look.. let me know what you think. I’m always interested in feedback and what you have on your minds. That’s the only way I know what you need or want! lol sounds like a marriage doesn’t it.. well any relationship needs give and take and I love taking my cues from you guys.

A couple of days ago we drove through one of the nicer new areas which reminded me again of why living in a newer housing section would not be my first choice.

All of the houses.. street after street, were the same color… A very generic tan color, which on it’s own is not a bad color, but en masse makes for a very boring neighborhood.

While there were a few unique house designs mixed in, they were lost in a sea of sameness. Nothing about them said “look at me.. I’m different!”

If I WERE to move into this neighborhood, the first thing that I would do is change the colors of the shutters or maybe paint the front door or do some unique front yard landscaping… something to make my house unique.

Nothing overboard or too flashy.. just enough so my house stands out from the rest and does not add to the overall boring sameness.

(Speaking of flashy, we once sold a home that was in a nice newer neighborhood. The new owners painted the house a pepto bismol pink!

That taller split entry house really stood out between two ranch style houses and definitely was unique in that neighborhood!)

These same ideas apply to your websites when advertised on traffic exchanges.

When everyone is advertising the same programs, with the same pages, surfing can tend to become boring. Your site may be seen but more then likely it will just blend into all the rest.

So how do you stand out in the crowd of other affiliate pages and websites?

I know you’ve all heard of splash pages.. squeeze pages.. the short, attention grabbing sites that are desinged primarily for Traffic Exchanges. You hear about them so much for one reason.. they work.

Remember that Traffic Exchanges show your site for 30 seconds, at the most, before the surfer is asked to click to go on to the next site… many exchanges have gone to 10 and 15 seconds. This is NOT a lot of time.

I see far too many pages submitted for approval that are very long with many images and program banners to load. It many times takes considerably longer to load the page then the 20 seconds required to view it. Not only that, but how many people do you really think are going to take the time to scroll down through a long site when they are surfing for credits? Not many I’m guessing.

Whether you use splash pages that are supplied by the program you are promoting, make your own or have one made for you stop and think first about who will be viewing your page.

Most likely it is another member who is surfing 5 or 6 exchanges at the same time. While they may be actively searching for a business opportunity or resource, their main objective is too earn credits that they can use to advertise their own site.

A long page that takes 30 seconds or more to load or another affiliate page that looks like 6 out of the last 10 pages they’ve seen, is not going to grab their attention.

Be unique.. set yourself apart from the crowd but don’t go overboard with ‘pepto bismol’ flashing banners and gimmicks.. that might get you attention but not necessarily the kind you want.

Your goal when advertising, especially in traffic exchanges, is to stand out from the crowd.

You can’t do this by having a page that looks like everyone elses. Make your space unique.. set yourself apart from the same boring neighborhood of websites that surround you and you’ll be sure to attract the attention that your website deserves.

How Much is Your Time Worth?

There are two things that we all think we never have enough of.. Time and money.

Saying that time flies is an understatement in these days that we live in. Even our kids feel time rushing by them at breakneck speed which wasn’t the case when I was young. ( At this point my daughter would insert, “did they have time when you were a kid?”)

I was reminded again today how fast time goes when I realized that my oldest daughter will be 28 in a couple of weeks. 28 YEARS OLD! Many of you that I know and work with ARE 28 and maybe can’t relate.. but many of you are my age and will understand my amazement at the quick passage of time.

You will also understand, how at the age of ’39′, I can have a daughter that is only 11 years younger and a son who is 31.

We’re all familiar with the quotation by Benjamin Franklin that says “time is money”. I would agree with Jim Rohn who has said that “Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money, but you cannot get more time.”

How do we spend our time.. a subject that could take many directions but right now I’m referring to our online time, specifically our time spent using Traffic Exchanges. If we truly value our time as we should, there are ways to maximize our usage of it.

While there are a few ways of surfing more efficiently, such as multi tabbed browsing etc, that will maximize our time usage, the most noticible, but often overlooked way to maximize our time, is by taking advantage of the Pro memberships offered by the Traffic Exchanges themselves.

Now before you think that this is a shameless attempt to get more people to upgrade so I can make more money let me just say this.

You’re right! It is one way that I make money as a traffic exchange owner. Nothing wrong with that… but only if my service provided is a benefit to the consumer.. my members.

That being said.. let’s discuss the features and benefits of Pro memberhips.
