Lesson 5: Creating Your Bio Box
Published by admin on August 7, 2008This is it.. this is what we’ve written our whole article for.. everything we’ve researched and written about leads up to these few brief sentences.
Screw this up and you’ve blown everything!!
That might be a little dramatic, but not by much. In truth, the bio box of our article is the most important part. Why… because it contains our link. The link that we want our readers to click on so that they’ll be taken to the site where eventually they will sign up for our list or give us $$$.
Bio boxes are short, usually limited in characters by the site you’re submitting to. So to take advantage of your limited space here are a couple ways that you can make the most of yours.
1. The readers don’t care about you and what you’ve accomplished online, they are looking for the answers to their questions. If you’ve properly prepared them in your article by giving them just enough information to make them want more, then give them what they want.. a link to click!
2. Use multiple links.. as many as allowed. Most ezine directories will limit the number of links that you can add. Ezine Articles, for example, limits you to three.. so you use three even if they all lead to the same page.
One should be an actual html link.. the web address of where you want them to go and at least one should be a text link. A text link, for those of you that don’t know, is when a word or words of your text has been made clickable and takes your reader to your page.
I’m sure you’ve all seen one like this:
For lesson one of Article Marketing click here .
The words ‘click here’ is a text link. You would create that by writing the code…
So you might want to say something like, Discover 3 great ways to stop your dog from jumping by visiting http://www.yoursitehere.com where ’stop your dog from jumping’ is a key phrase and one that your readers are looking for.
3. Another great idea is to use your bio box to give away a free report or newsletter. For example, This FREE report will show you 3 ways to instantly stop your dog from jumping.
Of course your report then will lead them to your affiliate product after they’ve given up their name and email to you. Your reader gets a free report with actual valuable information and you get a lead and very possible a sale..
it’s a WIN-WIN!
